Explorer in Jamaica

I love to explore.

I'm curious about the world, the people who inhabit it, and the delicious and interesting foods that we eat. I just recently returned from my second trip to Jamaica and it was a fantastic trip! Jamaica is a very special place and I totally relate to the "no problem mon" way of life. My first trip to Jamaica was two years ago with three girlfriends and it was an incredible adventure. Both trips were great and completely different and only made me love Jamaica more and more. We stayed at our friend Sue's guesthouse and it was so cute, the perfect little get away from the hustle and bustle of Negril.

Above is the Pelican Bar near Treasure Beach, the coolest bar I have ever been to!

Jamaican food is awesome. And I love food, I AM a total foodie, so I was thrilled to get back to the jerk chicken, fresh seafood, amazing fruit, and plenty of Red Stripe beer.

When traveling to a tropical environment packing right is essential. My list of things to take included several bikinis and sun dresses, a couple tanks paired with a light airy skirt or a pair of of shorts, and a good floppy sun hat.

You can always grab some cheap jewelry when you're there and who needs make-up when you're in laying on the beach or swimming in the ocean all day long. Your skin will naturally exfoliate from the salt in the ocean and trust me, everyone has a healthy glow while vacationing in tropical paradise. All you need is some sunscreen and a smile on your beautiful happy face  :)

So, if you ever find yourself heading to the island of no cares, hit me up, I know some pretty sweet places off the beaten path. And check out my friend Sue's place in Negril, the Judy House Cottages.
