A little bit about me…
Writing has always come naturally to me, even from a young age, though it wasn't until later in life that I considered turning it into a career. Whether at home or on the road, I always had a notebook in hand, and it was my love of travel that ultimately led me to pursue a double major in International Studies and Political Science. After nearly a decade in the nonprofit and political sectors, my path took an unexpected turn when I was laid off from a political campaign. In hindsight, it was a hidden blessing, allowing me to transform my side passion for storytelling—particularly for outdoor brands—into something more substantial. I began taking on copywriting and social media projects, and, as they say, the rest is history.
The outdoors has always played a central role in my life and now forms the backbone of much of my writing. I often draw on my personal outdoor adventures to explore and illuminate deeper human experiences. While I now call Oregon home, my roots are in Utah, and what drives me most is the deep connection we all share with the natural world.
When I'm not crafting narratives for brands or businesses, you'll find me immersed in my gardening business, designing edible landscapes and native habitats. You can learn more about that here. In my free time, I'm out skiing, climbing, backpacking, or foraging for mushrooms—most often in the company of my husband, daughter, and our Siberian Husky, exploring the wilderness together.
